About Me

Studio Lyrico
Denver, Colorado
Larry Hubbell (aka Harry Lyrico) was an illustrator and printmaker. Hubbell's graphics were published by Icon, birdy, Acme Comics, Last Gasp, Westword, the LA Weekly, and within a Fantagraphics collection of mini comix. Sociologist Jeff Ferrell wrote that Hubbell "by word, deed and art, and despite his claims to the contrary, sketches the dangerous and honest beauty of life..." His design work included logos, book covers, fliers, graffiti, and posters. Hubbell's art was exhibited at Wazee Union, Pie Studio, El Progreso, Pirate, Open Press, and the McNichols Building.
